Creative direction:
Bold & dynamic "3dimenisional" graphic for the Seawheeze 20k half marathon collection.
The design was created using a 3D visual effects program and finalized in Photoshop.
Two separate repeats with different directions emphasize the dynamic look.
Challenge: Allow the design to continuosly flow around the body without affecting
the fabrication or reducing the contrast.
Technical execution:
Contrast is created through the use of a jersey and mesh combination using front and
backside yarn while ensuring a light & highly breathable layer. To allow the artwork to
flow without altering the functionality of the fabric, the proportion of jersey background
is higher than mesh and consistent throughout the artwork. Additional jersey stitches
within the mesh ensure stability, without affecting the contrast between the colours.
