Creative direction:
Inspired by traditional textile patterns standing in contrast to japanese pop
culture & fashion, this collection should speak to runners coming from allover
the world for a highly anticipated event with playful, bold designs & loud colors.
Showcase the yearly highlight: a new iridescent reflective print.
Execution:
Through combining collages made from pop culture & fashion images with
traditional weaving techniques, the designs captured themes from past and
present while offering options for a loud head to toe look, as well as artwork
grounded in black and a simple black/white pattern, easy to combine with
solid pop colours.
Based on a weave using black and white nature images, the iridescent
reflective was created with an abstract open structure and well balanced
coverage to ensure a high quality print.
